Improving payment status

Current terms used:

  • Paid

  • Scheduled

Issues with Scheduled

  • Term ambiguous with meeting scheduled

  • UI does not seem hoverable

  • UI does not capture any attention - payment status is very important

Improvements

  • Change Scheduled to Payment scheduled

  • Create a tag/pill shaped UI

  • Add info icon next to the tag/pill, which will show the message on hover

  • Once email is sent, change status to Payment pending

  • Once payment is made, change status to Paid

  • We can colour code it, Grey for scheduled payment, yellow for pending, green for paid.

Decisions

  • Do we need to add extra state from Scheduled to Pending to Paid, current is only Scheduled to Paid

    • If only 1 state, let's change it to Payment pending. But I would recommend 2 states, because host will see message that email "will be" sent, with no confirmation of whether it's sent.

  • Hover message for Payment pending state: Payment is pending. We have sent an email regarding the payment information to the client.
